[REPLAY] ChatGPT: from zero to hero

On May 15, 2023, Pierre Colombo and Victor Storchan demystified the technology behind the GPT family, with a particular focus on ChatGPT, to give you insights into the real capabilities of this AI.

The three objectives of the conference are:

  1. Explore the revolutions that ChatGPT brings to the field of natural language processing.

  2. Explore the future extensions of the GPT family.

  3. Address the ongoing innovation war between Microsoft and Google: GPT technology disrupts long-held certainties and reshuffles the balance of power that was once perceived as unchangeable.

Pierre is currently an associate professor at MICS lab in CentraleSupelec. His research primarily focuses on natural language processing using deep learning methods. He regularly publishes in general machine learning conferences (NeuriPS, ICML, AAAI) and particularly in NLP conferences (EMNLP, ACL, NAACL). He received the Best Student Paper Award at AAAI 2022 (acceptance rate < 16%) for his work on evaluating generative models using language models.

Victor Storchan is Lead Product Manager at Mozilla.AI and the CEO and co-founder of the AI startup Althiqa. He has worked in the financial services sector as the VP AI ML Lead at JP Morgan and as a search engineer at Adobe. Victor serves as the Scientific Director for the "Puissances de l'IA" series in the geopolitics journal Le Grand Continent.
